West Bengal Police win Brajarajnagar football tournament

West Bengal Police, Kolkata emerged champions in the All-India Rajiv Ghandhi Memorial Football Tournament, which concluded at the OPM ground, Brajrajnagar today. West Bengal cops defeated South Eastern Railway, Chakradharpur 1-0 in the final to walk away with a cash prize of Rs 50,000. Krishna Mallick netted the decisive goal in the 37th minute. The runners-up had to contend themselves with Rs 25,000.
Leader of Opposition in the Orissa Legislative Assembly, Bhupinder Singh gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function. As many as 12 teams from across the country participated in the nine-day tournament.
